London born violinist Gabriella Bavetta, aged 21 years old, is an up-and-coming performer with a number of accolades already to her name.
She started playing violin at the age of four using the Suzuki method under teacher Claudio Forcada and was a student at Dame Alice Owen's School in Hertfordshire from the age of eleven where she benefited from an outstanding Music Department led by Katherine Bamber and James Widden.
As former Leader of the National Youth Orchestra (NYO) and National Children's Orchestra (NCO) she has performed at numerous prestigious concert halls across the UK including most notably the Royal Albert Hall where she led NYO in August 2022 as part of the BBC Proms season.
Gabriella is currently studying for a Bachelor of Music (Hons) degree under Professor Ani Schnarch at the Royal College of Music in London with whom she was awarded a Dennis and Sylvia Forbes Award Winner scholarship. She was also previously a longstanding pupil at the RCM Junior Department where she studied under Eri Konii and was selected as Leader of the flagship Symphony Orchestra.
Gabriella has won numerous competitions over the years and has subsequently performed various violin concertos as guest soloist with a number of orchestras. In addition she has participated in other one-off musical initiatives such as playing with the charity Music in Secondary Schools Trust (MiSST) with whom she had the privilege of participating in a masterclass with renowned violinist Nicola Benedetti; in addition more recently she also had the opportunity to be involved in a one to one masterclass with leading violinist Tasmin Little.
In June 2024 she performed the Beethoven Violin Concerto as soloist with Redhill Sinfonia and in October 2025 performed the Brahms Violin Concerto as soloist with Waveney Sinfonia; she was subsequently invited back most recently by Redhill Sinfonia to play the Korngold Violin Concerto in November 2025. In addition during 2025 she resumed her role as Leader of the English Schools Orchestra with whom she also acts as mentor to its talented young teenage musicians.
