Itamar Rashkovsky

Founder and Leader of the Listener Programme

Itamar began playing the violin under the guidance of Natasha Boyarsky. Accepted to the Junior Department of the Royal College of Music aged 10, he continued studying with Boyarsky on a full scholarship funded by the Tsukanov Foundation.  

A passionate teacher, Itamar currently holds teaching positions at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama (Junior Department) and the Enhui School of Music. 

Throughout his career, Itamar has performed in the UK, USA, Russia, Germany, France, Italy, Israel, Croatia and Slovenia in a number of the world’s most prestigious venues, including Carnegie Hall and the Royal Albert Hall. In competitions, Itamar was awarded 1st prize at the Gordon Turner Memorial and Peter Morrison Concerto Competitions at the Royal College of Music JD. Internationally, his accolades include being a finalist and laureate of multiple international competitions, including the Kloster Schöntal International Violin Competition in Germany and the Enkor International Piano and Violin Competition.  

Itamar graduated from the University of Manchester with first-class honours in Politics and International Relations. During his studies, he co-founded and directed the New Stars International Music Competition. Since graduating, Itamar has pursued a corporate career alongside his musical one, leading him to a two-year spell as a Data Analyst at Kantar (the Data Investment Management Division of WPP) before taking up his current position as a Risk Analytics Consultant at a professional services firm.
